Confident In English language school is seeking an Academic Operations Manager

 

Responsibilities

The Academic Operations Manager is responsible for learner retention, creating specialized teaching programs, and supporting all aspects of our student’s study life, ensuring learners are fully supported to maximise positive learning outcomes.
This is a new role in a growing online language school. The successful candidate will have great attention to detail, problem solving, prior experience with operational functions of a school, while also possessing an innovative, positive mindset to help develop CIE as a platform for the future of English learning. The ability to inspire, work creatively, and execute at speed are all highly desirable.

Key Duties

1. Student retention

• Ensure student retention targets are met
• Facilitate learners during onboarding
• Organize out of curriculum activities
• Edit a student newspaper
• Manage a Parent
• Organization Implement new practices in the language learning community engagement space, and create training materials to effectively educate staff on such practices

2. Level 1-3 Program Coordination

• Liaise with Level 1-3 teacher team to ensure the programs meet our established oversights, including tutor credentials, teaching hours, assessments, grading, etc

• Oversea program logistics between Level 1-3 teachers and CIE including fast-track course management, curriculum devising, transcript creation, etc

3. Student Support

• Design and implement a system to both issue and monitor our learners personalized academic plans and work with stakeholders to maximise efficiency

• Monitor student feedback and assessment performance for any possible issues. Communicate with teachers and the safety officer on all student issues and follow up with students/parents/teachers as appropriate

• Regularly meet with students to discover any or support needs and learner plan adjutants

• Proactively email parents on a regular basis to identify potential issues early and implement appropriate solutions

• Monitor non-academic learner issues and support needs.

• Devise a system and staff handbook by which student needs concerning learning differences are identified and appropriate measures be taken

4. Administration

• Liaise with school officials to update and regularly review policy documentation

• Management of transcript policy

• Ensure the school calendar reminders are sent to the school community

• Other tasks may be discussed at the interview stage

 

Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor’s degree (Education)
• 3-5 years of overall experience in a school or college
• Student support experience
• Experience in academic program development and implementation
• Counselling experience (desirable, not necessary)
• Exceptional ability to prioritize a diverse array of tasks
• Positive mindset, with the ability adapt quickly to a fast paced environment
• Ability to manage and execute on projects/tasks with a large degree of autonomy

• Motivation to innovate and present self created projects which aim to maximise growth
